Hello

Mark Bisset is a visual artist and teacher who has spent most of his life living and working near the Connecticut shoreline. Working primarily in oils, his landscapes and cityscapes are filled with color and light. The work celebrates the beauty and serenity of nature but also our complex relationship with and affect on the natural world. Working both en plein air and in the studio his paintings capture moments of quiet reflection and contemplation. The work is realistic but still painterly, with dynamic brushwork throughout. His work has been shown in galleries across the country, most recently in Milford, CT at the Firehouse Gallery and the MAC. He holds a B.F.A. in painting from the Maine College of Art and an M.S. in art education from S.C.S.U.
